Roller shutters are a type of blinds made in the form of a roll, two guides and plates sliding along them. It can also be named shutters, protective shutters.
These sets are not scaled and can be used at any scale. The fact is that there is no unified lamella size. We used a width of 1.6mm which would correspond to the most common 39mm for 1/25, 56mm for 1/35 and 77mm for 1/48. There are two sets: with a vertical and horizontal arrangement of the canvas. Two horizontal canvases spliced will make it possible to realize a completely closed garage opening for scales up to 1/35, a vertical set will allow you to make a closed door, and from both sets you can make closed windows: from horizontal to 3 from vertical to 2.
To obtain a characteristic deflection, it is enough to put the plate on a medium-hard surface and push the deflections with the end of a brush or other rounded tool (on the reverse side of the board there are already half-grains for deflection, and there is also a conductor on the board for realizing a more pronounced deflection). When squeezed, the canvas will bend. At the same time, it is advisable to anneal it and carefully roll it out with a thick round stick (with a thick brush handle, sculptural roller, rolling pin, small bottle)
