Balls with a diameter of 6 mm and a weight of 0.89 g are designed to be placed in a jar with paint and facilitate mixing of pigment with the base in the paint. The balls are made of low-carbon austenitic steel grade 08X18N10 (contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel) in the common people called "food stainless steel". The balls do not oxidize upon contact with water and thus will not react with the paint and does not change its chemical composition. The balls are heavy enough to effectively mix the paint when shaking the bottle, and large enough not to plug the spout of the bottle. In a package of 50 pcs.
The balls were selectively tested by a week's stay in an alkaline, acidic environment, as well as in water with the addition of salt (to accelerate the reaction). In all three cases, no signs of oxidation were observed.
